The best-selling car in Europe in 2025 was the Dacia Sandero. The electric or Chinese revolution has not yet taken place.
In 2025, new Chinese brands and new fully electric car models strongly competed for the favor of European drivers. However, the results confirmed the dominance of traditional manufacturers and powertrains.
Dacia triumphed, Tesla declined
Just like in 2024, the best-selling car was the Dacia Sandero with 243,676 units sold. Although this is slightly less than last year, it was still enough to secure victory. The Tesla Model Y can be considered a flop, even though it was the best-selling car in Europe in 2023. Last year it ranked fourth, and in 2025 it did not even make it into the TOP 10.
